Britannia Tour Moving to Jan-Term

Hi friends!

As you may have learned from my phone message/call, I am moving my group to join Ms. Lindner's in Jan-Term.  The main reason for this is that our group remained fairly small, so we would only be allotted one chaperone (me).  And with young ladies traveling, I think it's best to have a lady chaperone in there.

The good news is that this change brings you many advantages.  First, Ms. Lindner has led tours in these places already, so she is very knowledgeable and says that the timing is actually very good (no crowds, less expensive travel, and the weather has not been a problem).  Second, your group will be larger.  Two smaller-sized groups will become one more normal-sized group...and that's more fun!  Finally, her trip is a good deal less expensive (it's a less expensive time to travel and the itinerary is different).  So, you will save nearly $1,000...which should make the minor inconvenience well worth it!

Here is the link to the tour: http://www.eftours.com/tour-website/1765519RR
The cost is $3,150 (but will increase after Oct.1, so it's the right time to switch!).  Whatever you paid in my tour will roll right into your new trip itinerary.  Anyone who has paid more than that already for my tour will be reimbursed the difference (hurrah; thank you, EF!).
Here is the process:
  1. Just confirm that this change is one that blesses you.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email or call me.
  2. I will confirm with EF all students rolling into Ms. Lindner's tour on Monday.
  3. Your account will be updated for Tuesday.  After that, you may pay balances as you have been, but any remaining balance must be paid in full, 30 days prior to departure (so, the end of November since you have a 12/29 departure date).

Then EF will begin organizing all the new travel arrangements.  If, for some reason, the trip is already too full, they will let you know and provide a refund in full.

Well, I apologize for such a long email.  I think you are looking at a fantastic trip with a sweet group and a knowledgeable leader...all for a better price.  While I regret not being able to join you in those wondrous lands, I'm thankful to see the advantages open to you, and will be praying for your safety, blessing, learning, and delight!

Thank you!

Marcus

Click here for a sample Britannia itinerary.  This shows you what our trip will be, basically, though we have a bit of freedom to craft the corners as we wish (perhaps we'll learn of something that would be a perfect fit for us that we can fit in such as a parade or sporting event).

Big News!

EF and MVCS are teaming up to a $400 scholarship for anyone signing up for this tour in May (you don't need to fill out any extra forms; you just enroll with your $95 deposit in May).  You will have a $400 credit to your account; the point is to help students who might have trouble affording the tour to get a sweet head start; I hope many of you take it up this excellent discount!  Let's travel!

All the best,

Marcus Schwager

Buongiorno! You Guys Are Awesome!

What a fantastic trip!  I learned so much...and I'm sure you did also.  Thank you for being such wonderful young ladies and gentlemen.  I was really impressed by your maturity.  I was also so happy with the excellent tour guide (Enrico) as well as the knowledgeable and fitting (friar, archeologist, etc.) extra guides we had along the way.  Each city really did have its own character, and we had good opportunities to experience and enjoy that.  I put some pictures on FB and will add some here and there on the blog when time permits.

All together, I think we can thank the Lord deeply for his grace, protection, and kind hand going before us on tour in Italy!

Rome and Home!

Parents, please remember to pick up your travelers.  They will be arriving in San Francisco on Sunday at 12:35 pm from Amsterdam (international flight) on KLM Royal Dutch flight 605.  See you soon!

I will post more pictures when able again.  Today was another awesome day touring in and near Rome.  The students have been fantastic and return to you with knowledge and pictures of Italy, a deeper understanding of history, closer friendships, and (no doubt), some sweet jet lag.  Thank you for sharing your blessings with my wife and me this week: what a joy!  All the best!
